Hobson Prior are looking for a Bioanalytical Scientist to join a top biopharmaceutical organisation who offer pioneering medicines to patients all over the world. You will join them on a contract basis in Cambridge.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for planning, co-ordinating and undertaking the development, validation and use of bioanalytical immunoassay-based assays (PK, PD/Biomarker and Immunogenicity).
  • Responsible for presenting project related and other relevant data at internal meetings.
  • You will ensure that relevant equipment is maintained and in good working order in accordance with prevailing regulatory standards.
  • Performing sample analysis for regulated and non-regulated studies to specific time lines and regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding the practices and concepts of laboratory health and safety and observing and contributing to the company's health and safety policy.
  • Preparation of and adherence to GLP/GCP documentation e.g. SOPs, plans and reports.

  • Ability to trouble shoot assays.

Requirements:

  • BSc or equivalent in a Biological Science or equivalent.
  • Practical experience of developing, validating and performing immunoassays in a laboratory environment according to regulatory requirements, specifically PK, PD Target Engagement assays, Biomarker assays and Immunogenicity assays.
  • Performed sample analysis campaigns to fixed deadlines.
  • Experience of working within a quality system (e.g. GLP, GCP, GMP).
  • Working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must have experience of developing and/or validating immunoassays (PK, PD/Biomarker and/or immunogenicity assays). This includes assays completely developed in-house rather than commercial kits.
  • Practical experience of immunoassay platforms (e.g. Gyrolab, MSD, ELISA, AlphaLISA/AlphaScreen, Aushon BioSystems).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for PK, PD and immunogenicity assays.
  • MS office skills.
