Analytical Chemist

Hobson Prior are currently seeking a Analytical Chemist to join a clinical-stage retinal therapeutics organisation. Our client is developing technology to transform the treatment of retinal disease, giving patients life-changing solutions to their unmet needs.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work centres on development and performance of assays of compounds, stability studies, forced degradation studies.
• Capabilities to include compound identification, quantitative analysis and method development using HPLC, mass spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, plate assays as well as sample coordination with outside laboratories for specialized analysis as required.
• You must be capable of preparation of reports with descriptive statistics. Familiarity of USP and EP is a plus. Preferably able to travel on occasion to contract testing laboratories that may be located globally.

Requirements:

• A degree in a chemistry discipline.
• A background as a chemist, analytical chemist or scientist with GC, GC-MS skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience writing technical documents and delivering presentations to a specialised audience.
• Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities, tight deadlines and thrive in a busy and challenging environment.
• Project management skills and experience would be highly beneficial.
