Hobson Prior are seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist to provide their services on a contract basis to an Animal Health Company. This role will include national and international travel, including extended periods in Chile.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and perform the analytical requirements of new product launch alongside the Lead Development Manager
• Work with the development team with the aim of developing an automated monitoring system for medicines in water treatment
• Work/lead formulation & analytical development for pharmaceuticals within development pipeline
• Be part of the BAHL Development team, working on the development of new AH medicines in Aquaculture, Farm animal and Companion animal business units

• Excellent written and verbal communicator
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Pragmatic and commercially savvy
• Self-motivated and autonomous with effective time management abilities
• Flexible and able to travel nationally and occasionally internationally as required
• A clean driving licence.

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience
• Extensive HPLC experience, operational and method development
• Formulation and delivery experience
